[Abstract] Objective: To analyze the effect of postpartum continuing nursing on postpartum depression (PPD) and quality of life of primiparas. Methods: 300 primiparas from January 2018 to January 2021 were randomly divided into observation group (150 cases were included to provide postpartum continuing care) and control group (150 cases were included to provide routine discharge guidance) General self efficacy scale (GSEs), quality of life scale (SF-36), incidence of PPD, maternal satisfaction rate. Results: (1) there was no significant difference in mental state score, PSQI score, GSEs score and SF-36 score between the two groups before intervention (P> 0.05); The psychological state score, PSQI score, GSEs score and SF-36 score of the observation group were better than those of the control group after intervention (P< 0.05). (2) The incidence of PPD in the observation group (6.67%) was lower than that in the control group (18.00%), and the total satisfaction rate of puerpera (92.67%) was higher than that in the control group (80.67%), P< 0.05. Conclusion: the implementation of postpartum continuing nursing for primiparas can improve their negative emotions, sleep quality, reduce PPD, improve their self-efficacy and quality of life, and win the recognition of primiparas, which is worthy of promotion.
