[Abstract] Objective: To explore the influence of IPL on emotion and psychology of patients with moderate and severe MGD related dry eye. Methods: 92 patients with moderate and severe MGD related dry eyes treated from February 2018 to February 2020 were divided into groups according to the random number table method. 46 patients in the control group were treated with routine treatment combined with meibomian gland massage, and 46 patients in the observation group were treated with IPL. SAS scores, SDS scores, osdi scores, conscious symptom scores before and after treatment were analyzed WHOQOL-BREF quality of life score, tear film rupture time and related complications. Results: There was no significant difference in SAS score, SDS score, osdi score, conscious symptom score and WHOQOL-BREF quality of life between the two groups before treatment (P<0.05); After treatment, SAS score, SDS score, osdi score and conscious symptom score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05); The score of WHOQOL-BREF quality of life in the observation group and the control group after treatment was higher than that before treatment (P<0.05); The score of WHOQOL-BREF quality of life in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05); The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: IPL can reduce anxiety and depression, improve related symptoms, improve quality of life and reduce related complications in patients with moderate and severe MGD related dry eyes.
