【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the effects of methadone maintenance therapy combined with psychological and behavioral intervention on depression and quality of life in opioid dependent patients. Methods A total of 96 patients with opioid dependence admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were included as research objects. They were divided into 2 groups with 48 cases in each group by random number table method. The control group received methadone maintenance treatment, and the research group was combined with psychological and behavioral intervention based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after the intervention, the quality of life of the patients was evaluated by the Drug Addiction Quality of Life Scale (Quality of life for drug addicts，QOL-DA), and the depression status of the patients was evaluated by the Baker Depression Scale (Beck Depression Inventory-21，BDI-21). The score of life quality and depression status of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, QOL-DA in study group was higher than that in control group (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of BDI-21 and Hamilton Depression Scale (Hamilton Depression Scale，HAMD) in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Methadone maintenance therapy combined with psychological and behavioral intervention can restore the physical and social functions, improve the quality of life and improve the depression of patients with opioid dependence, and is worthy of clinical recommendation.
