[abstract]Objective To explore the effect of dancing therapy and virtual reality technology on the rehabilitation of schizophrenic patients. Methods Seventy-four patients with schizophrenia admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected prospectively, and randomly divided into study group and control group, with 37 cases in each group. The control group was intervened by virtual reality technology, while the study group was intervened by dancing therapy on the basis of the control group. Both groups were intervened for 3 months. The positive and negative symptom scale , Calgary schizophrenia depression scale (CDSS-C) and Wisconsin were compared.Results The negative symptom score, general psychopathological symptom score, CDSS-C, energy motivation, symptoms/side effects, psychosocial and total score of the study group were lower than those of the control group after 1 month and 3 months of intervention, while the number of completed classifications, sustained responses and correct responses of SQLS score were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Dancing therapy and virtual reality technology can effectively improve patients mental symptoms and depressive symptoms, improve cognitive function and quality of life, and promote rehabilitation.
