[Abstract] Objective To explore the Influence of Anxiety on Pain Symptoms and Stress Response after Radical Surgery for Lung Cancer. Methods Eighty lung cancer patients from March 2020 to September 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and all underwent radical surgery for lung cancer treatment. Anxiety assessment were carried out at 6 hours after surgery. According to the evaluation results, there were 43 cases in the anxiety group and 37 cases in the non anxiety group, respectively. The visual analog scale (VAS) of postoperative pain between two groups of patients at 6h, 12h, and 24h were compared. The serum epinephrine (E) and cortisol (Cor) levels before and 6 hours after surgery were detected. Results The VAS scores at 6h, 12h, and 24h after surgery in the anxiety group were significantly lower than those in the non anxiety group (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in preoperative serum E and Cor levels between the two groups (P>0.05). At 6 hours after surgery, the serum E and Cor levels in the anxiety group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Anxiety is common after radical surgery for lung cancer, and the combination of anxiety can exacerbate postoperative pain symptoms and enhance stress response.
