[Abstract] Objective To explore the relationship between clinical symptoms related to sudden deafness and psychological disorders. Methods Ninety patients with sudden deafness from July 2020 to March 2022 as the study subjects were selected as the study subjects. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) were used to evaluate anxiety and depression. They were divided into the anxiety depression groups and control groups. The hearing threshold and tinnitus disability scale (THI) between two groups of patients were compared. The correlation between HAMA score, HAMD score, hearing threshold, THI score in patients with anxiety and depression were analyzed. Results Among the 90 patients with sudden deafness, 8 were diagnosed with anxiety and 6 with depression, with a total of 27 cases of both diseases; The hearing threshold and THI score of patients in the anxiety and depression group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). There is a positive correlation between HAMA score, HAMD score, hearing threshold and THI score in patients with anxiety and depression (P<0.05). Conclusion The detection rate of anxiety and depression in patients with sudden deafness is relatively high, and these psychological disorders may exacerbate hearing impairment and tinnitus symptoms, and the two may interact with each other.
