Objective: To investigate the detection rate of depressive disorder in female outpatients, to explore the influence of parenting style and emotion regulation strategy on depression level, and to analyze the mediating role of emotion regulation strategy in parenting style on depressive disorder. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. The outpatients in the mental health center affiliated to the Jingzhou mental health center July 25, 2021 to December 17, 2021 were selected. The self rating Depression Scale (SDS), parenting style scale (PBI) and emotion regulation strategy scale (ERQ) were used for online questionnaire survey before treatment, and the chief physicians diagnosis results were referred. Results: ①The detection rate of depressive symptoms in female outpatients was 65.27%; ② The standard score of female SDS was negatively correlated with cognitive reappraisal (r = - 0.449, P < 0.01), positively correlated with expression inhibition (r = 0.277, P < 0.01), negatively correlated with mother care, father care, mother encouragement and father encouragement (r = - 0.273, - 0.254, - 0.137, - 0.194, P < 0.01), and positively correlated with mother control and father control (r = 0.177, 0.198, P < 0.05); ③Expression inhibition strategy plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between affective warmth and depressive disorder, and cognitive reappraisal strategy plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between affective warmth and depressive disorder. Conclusion: Psychiatric clinics should focus on the depressive symptoms of female patients. Good parental rearing patterns can reduce the occurrence of depressive symptoms, and individuals choosing positive emotion regulation strategies can also avoid the influence of bad rearing patterns through mediating effects.
