[Abstract] Objective To analyze the effect and mechanism of esketamine combined with antidepression in elderly patients undergoing hip replacement with mild depression, and to observe its effect on sleep quality and pain degree. Methods 89 elderly patients with mild depression who were about to undergo hip replacement were divided into two groups by random number table method, 44 patients in control group were given propofol, 43 patients in observation group were combined with esketamine. The mental state, sleep quality and short-term postoperative pain of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the scores of self-rating Anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) in observation group were lower than those in control group (P<0.05). Sleep quality scores in observation groups were higher than those in control group on the night after surgery, 1d after surgery and 2d after surgery (P<0.05). The pain degree score of observation group was lower than that of control group at 3h, 24h and 48h after surgery (P<0.05). Conclusion Esketamine combined with mild depression in elderly patients with hip replacement has a good anti-depression effect, can effectively regulate the psychological state of patients, reduce postoperative short-term pain, improve sleep quality, worthy of further research and promotion.
