[Abstract]Objective: To investigate the effects of clonidine combined behavioral intervention on compliance, neurological function and anxiety in children with tic disorder (TD). Method: A total of 101 children with TD in our hospital from September 2020 to December 2022 were selected as research objects and divided into drug group and comprehensive group by random number table method. Fifty cases in the drug group received clonidine transdermal patch for external use, and 51 cases in the comprehensive group received cognitive behavioral intervention. Tic symptoms, compliance, neurological function, anxiety, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: At the end of February, the comprehensive group was lower than the drug group in vocal tic, motor tic, childrens anxiety disorders screening table (SCARED), Morisky scale (MAQ) and behavioral compliance score. Exercise and sensory scores were higher than those in drug group (P<0.05). By Fishers exact probability test, there was no difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the general group (1.96% (1/51) and the drug group (6.00% (3/50) (P>0.05).Conclusion: Clonidine combined with behavioral intervention can regulate the neurological function and anxiety in children with TD, improve tic symptoms, regulate compliance, and have high safety.
