Objective: To investigate the influences of five-element music combined with positive psychology on cancer-related fatigue (CRF), psychological distress and health behaviors in patients with lung cancer. Methods: A total of 80 patients with lung cancer admitted the hospital were enrolled between July 2021 and July 2022. According to random number table method, they were divided into control group (n=40, routine nursing) observation group (n=40, five-element music + positive psychology intervention). The medication compliance, adverse reactions, nursing satisfaction, scores of Piper Fatigue Scale-Revised (PFS-R), psychological state (SAS, SDS) and health behaviors (KPS) in the two groups were compared before and after intervention. Results: After intervention, compliance rate was significantly higher in observation group than control group (95.00% vs 80.00%, P<0.05). After intervention, PFS-R scores in both groups were decreased, and scores of cognition, behaviors, body and emotions in observation group were (4.09±0.86) points, (4.16±0.58) points, (4.11±0.79) points and (4.02±0.65) points, lower than those in control group [(5.67±0.74) points, (6.23±0.72) points, (5.83±0.52) points, (5.24±0.49) points]. After intervention, SAS and SDS scores in both groups were decreased, and which were lower in observation group than control group [(42.13±5.22) points, (45.39±5.06) points vs (47.56±4.82) points, (50.14±6.32) points; P<0.05]. After intervention, scores of KPS and nursing satisfaction scale (nursing quality, nursing attitude, emotional nursing) in both groups were increased, which in observation group were (84.31±5.12) points, (18.63±1.04) points, (17.42±1.29) points and (18.01±0.82) points, higher than those in control group [(79.63±5.47) points, (17.25±1.53) points, (16.49±1.72) points, (16.76±1.05) points; P<0.05]. After intervention, incidence of adverse reactions was significantly lower in observation group than control group (5.00% vs 20.00%, P<0.05). Conclusion: Five-element music combined with positive psychology intervention can improve CRF, reduce psychological distress, improve health behaviors and nursing satisfaction in patients with lung cancer.
