Abstract: Objective: To explore the value of early cluster nursing intervention in the care of elderly delirium patients in the ICU, and analyze the impact of this plan on postoperative delirium outcomes and mental state. Method: A study was conducted on 80 delirium patients admitted to the ICU of our hospital from April 2022 to January 2023. The study was divided into two groups using a random number table method. One group received routine nursing services (control) and the other received early cluster nursing interventions (observation). The mental and psychological states of the two groups were analyzed, and the postoperative delirium outcomes were evaluated. Result: After early cluster nursing intervention, the observation group of 40 patients had a statistically higher mental state score than the control group (P<0.05); The scores of hostility, paranoia, anxiety, terror, depression, and compulsion in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05); The effective rate of delirium prognosis in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The implementation of early cluster nursing intervention has ideal value in improving the prognosis of postoperative delirium patients, improving their negative emotions and mental state.
