While improving oxidative stress, psychotropic drugs have different effects on metabolism in vivo due to differences in action mode and pharmacological mechanism. Uric acid (UA), an important non-enzymatic antioxidant, reflects oxidative stress levels to some extent and raises the risk of some diseases. The effects of commonly used psychiatric medicines on UA levels were studied in this research to better understand the antioxidant capabilities of pharmaceuticals, and the management of elevated UA was summarized to offer a theoretical foundation for clinical practice.
