Abstract: Depression is a common psychological disorder characterized by continuous and long-term depression, decreased interest, nervousness, and delusions. Depression, as one of the mental disorders, has a high clinical cure rate. However, if scientific measures are not taken in a timely manner to control it, it can lead to self harm, suicide, and other behaviors in patients. This not only increases the difficulty of treatment, but also threatens social and public safety. Statistics show that in recent years, with the improvement of the living standards of Chinese residents and the increase in life and work pressure, the incidence of depression has continued to increase. Currently, this disease has become a universal problem in society. Therefore, effective measures need to be taken to prevent and intervene actively, in order to promote the early recovery of patients. Exercise intervention has always been an important topic in the treatment of depression. This article will introduce the mechanism of action of exercise intervention in the treatment of depression, review the application progress of exercise intervention in the treatment of depression, and explore the impact of exercise intensity, frequency, and other factors on the treatment of depression for reference.
