Objective To explore the application effect of electromagnetic wave therapy device in pain care of patients with brucellosis in clinical practice. Methods 1200 patients with brucellosis admitted to our hospital from October 2016 to October 2024 were included. The patients were divided into a control group (receiving pain care) and an observation group (receiving electromagnetic wave therapy) with 600 patients in each group according to their admission order. The application effects of the two groups were compared. Results There was no statistically significant difference in joint pain and serum levels between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05). After intervention, the joint scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the serum levels [C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), interleukin (IL)] and incidence of complications were lower than those of the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion The use of electromagnetic wave therapy devices in pain care for patients with brucellosis can alleviate joint pain, optimize serum levels, increase safety, accelerate patient recovery, and has practical value.
