Objective To analyze and discuss the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on the physical and mental health of elderly patients with severe pneumonia. Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with severe pneumonia admitted to our hospital from 2022.01 to 2023.12 were selected as the study subjects, and they were divided into observation group (comprehensive nursing intervention) and control group (conventional nursing intervention), and the serum inflammatory factor levels, lung function and psychological status were compared between the two groups before and after nursing. Results 1. The serum levels of inflammatory factors in the observation group (3.12±0.98, 5.68± 1.79, 18.42± 4.15 were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). 2. The lung function of the observation group (84.92± 8.72, 86.31± 3.24, 76.55± 7.14) was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). 3. The psychological condition of the observation group (33.6± 2.1, 40.32± 4.43) was better than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention has a significant effect on the treatment of severe pneumonia in the elderly, which is worthy of extensive promotion and application.
