Objective To explore the effectiveness and detection rate of the four gastric functions in screening for gastric diseases. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 150 patients with gastric discomfort admitted to Nanhai District Public Health Hospital in Foshan City from January 2021 to December 2023. The patients were divided into three groups based on gastroscopy results: chronic superficial gastritis (Group A, 89 cases), chronic superficial gastritis with erosion (Group B, 53 cases), and chronic superficial gastritis with atrophy (Group C, 8 cases); Another 50 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations during the same period were selected as the control group, and all underwent four tests for gastric function. The results of the four groups of subjects were compared. Results Compared with the control group, PG Ⅱ increased and PGR decreased in groups A, B, and C (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in PG Ⅰ levels among the groups (P>0.05).; Compared with Group C, Group B had lower levels of PGII, while Groups A and B had higher levels of PGR (P<0.05); There was a significant difference in the positive detection rate of serum HpIgG antibodies among the four groups of subjects (P<0.05), with group C having the highest positive detection rate. Conclusion The four aspects of gastric function can objectively reflect the status and function of gastric mucosa, providing reference for clinical treatment.
