In the new era, college sports courses are tasked with improving physical fitness and health levels, and also with fulfilling the important mission of promoting the spirit of "striving for excellence and breaking through oneself." College sports courses should actively explore the exploitation and effectiveness of ideological and political education resources, which is an important measure to fulfill the fundamental task of cultivating people with integrity. This paper takes tennis as an example and aims to explore the exploitation and effectiveness of ideological and political education resources in college sports tennis courses, so as to help students continuously improve their overall quality and integrate the skills and spirit they have learned into all aspects of their study and life, striving to realize the dream of a sports powerhouse. For the problems of insufficient integration between ideological and political education and college sports tennis courses, weak awareness of ideological and political education among teachers, etc. in current college sports tennis courses, the effectiveness in cultivating students tennis skills, value guidance, and faculty construction can be fully leveraged by exploiting the ideological and political education resources contained in the tennis courses, thus providing powerful support and guarantee for enhancing students health levels and ideological and political quality in college sports courses.
