Objective To explore the impact of nursing care for incontinence dermatitis in patients in the intensive care unit of neurology. Methods 96 lung cancer intensive care unit patients admitted to the neurology department of our hospital from April 2023 to April 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 48 patients in each group. The control group received routine care, while the observation group received care for incontinence dermatitis. The incidence of complications, quality of life scores, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the inter group comparison was significant (P<0.05); The quality of life score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the inter group comparison was significant (P<0.05); The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the inter group comparison was significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The nursing of incontinence dermatitis has a significant effect on patients in the intensive care unit of neurology, which can effectively reduce the risk of complications, improve their quality of life, and promote their satisfaction with nursing. It can be widely promoted and applied in clinical practice.
