Objective To explore the value of implementing personalized psychological care in the operating room for patients undergoing hip replacement surgery under lumbar hard anesthesia. Methods A total of 94 patients who underwent lumbar hard combined anesthesia for hip replacement surgery in our hospital (period from February 2023 to February 2024) were randomly divided into two groups. The control group included 47 cases who received routine operating room care, while the observation group received personalized psychological care in the operating room. Compare the levels of anxiety, fear, and vital signs between two groups. Results showed that after intervention, the self rating anxiety scale (SAS) and fear score in the observation group decreased compared to the control group (P<0.05). The average heart rate, systolic blood pressure, and diastolic blood pressure of the observation group were lower than those of the control group 5 minutes before anesthesia (P<0.05). Conclusion Personalized psychological care in the operating room can alleviate anxiety and fear in patients undergoing hip replacement surgery under lumbar epidural anesthesia, and stabilize vital signs.
