Objective To analyze the application effect of evidence-based nursing in psychiatric nursing. Method 80 psychiatric patients admitted to our hospital from July 2023 to July 2024 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a reference group and an experimental group, with 40 cases in each group. The reference group received routine nursing care, while the experimental group received evidence-based nursing care. Compare the sleep quality and psychiatric symptom scores between two groups. Results Before intervention, there was no significant difference in sleep quality and psychiatric symptom scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After intervention, the experimental groups scores in sleep quality, falling asleep time, sleep time, and sleep efficiency were significantly lower than those of the reference group (P<0.05); The mental symptom score of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application effect of evidence-based nursing in psychiatric nursing is significant, which can effectively improve patients sleep quality, alleviate mental symptoms, and is worthy of further promotion and application.
