With the rapid development of information technology, the digital economy has become a new engine for global economic growth. International institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank have emphasized the importance of the digital economy in driving economic development. China has explicitly stated in the 14th Five Year Plan to accelerate digital development and build a digital China. At the same time, the process of new urbanization is also rapidly advancing, which essentially aims to improve the quality of urbanization, promote the balanced distribution and sustainable development of population, economy, and social resources. In this context, it is of great practical significance to explore the impact of the combination of urbanization and digital economy on the optimization of industrial structure.
