Objective To evaluate the effect of coronary intervention in elderly patients with chronic coronary syndrome and its impact on clinical practice. Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with chronic coronary syndrome who were admitted to the hospital and confirmed by coronary angiography to be eligible for interventional treatment from August 2022 to August 2024 were collected as cases for this study. According to the patients treatment willingness, they were divided into an intervention group and an observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The observation group received conventional drug treatment and observed the development of the disease, while the intervention group received coronary intervention treatment. The treatment effects of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment in the intervention group, cardiac function indicators recovered well, and the inter-group comparison was P<0.05; the proportion of angina pectoris grades in the intervention group was significantly different from that in the observation group, P<0.05; the intervention group had fewer complications and better angina-related indicators, which were significantly different from those in the observation group, P<0.05. Conclusion Coronary artery intervention in elderly patients with chronic coronary syndrome can improve cardiac function, reduce complications, and lower the grade of angina pectoris, which is worth promoting.
