Objective The study was conducted on patients undergoing glaucoma surgery to explore the application effect of knowledge, belief and behavior intervention in the perioperative period. Methods 100 patients with glaucoma admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected as the research subjects. All patients underwent surgical treatment. During the period, the patients were divided into two groups. Those who were given routine care were included in the reference group, and those who were given knowledge, belief and behavior intervention were included in the study group. The negative emotion scores, operation time, hospitalization time, complication rate, and quality of life scores of the two groups of patients were compared. The purpose was to observe the nursing effect and determine the nursing differences. Results The statistical data of the research results showed that the negative emotion scores of the patients after nursing, SAS and SDS, were lower in the study group than in the reference group (P < 0.05); the operation time and hospitalization time of the patients in the study group were significantly lower than those in the reference group (P < 0.05); the total incidence of complications in the two groups was lower in the study group than in the reference group (P < 0.05); the quality of life scores of the patients physical function, psychological function, social function, mental state, and physiological function in the study group were higher than those in the reference group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Clinical analysis shows that the knowledge, belief, and behavior intervention in the perioperative care of glaucoma patients can promote patients to actively cooperate with treatment, relieve negative emotions, shorten the operation time and hospitalization time, reduce the occurrence of complications, thereby improving clinical safety and quality of life. The clinical effect is significant and the patients are satisfied, which is worthy of wide application.
