Objective: to analyze the clinical value of laparoscopic appendectomy and traditional appendectomy in the treatment of acute appendicitis. Methods: 160 patients with acute appendicitis in our hospital were selected. The study period was from August 2019 to August 2021. They were divided into groups according to the principle of randomization. There were 80 cases in the control group and 80 cases in the observation group. The control group was given traditional appendectomy and the observation group was given laparoscopic appendectomy. The treatment effect, complication rate, surgical indexes and incision pain score of the two groups were taken as the observation indexes, and then the observation results were statistically compared. Results: compared with the control group (87.50%), the treatment effect of the observation group (97.50%) was higher (P < 0.05). In terms of complications, compared with the control group (12.50%), the observation group (2.50%) was lower (P < 0.05). The operative indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, the score of the observation group was higher (P < 0.05). Conclusion: the implementation of laparoscopic appendectomy can reduce the incidence of complications and improve the operation of patients with acute appendicitis, significantly reduce the pain of patients, and improve the treatment efficiency to a great extent. It is worthy of application and promotion in clinical practice.
