Objective To analyze the value of Chaihu Wubei Decoction in the treatment of gastric ulcer (liver qi invading the stomach type). Methods A total of 90 subjects were included in this study, all of whom were patients with gastric ulcer (liver qi invading the stomach type) who came to the hospital for treatment from April 2022 to April 2024. They were randomly divided into a control group (conventional Western medicine treatment, a total of 45 cases) and an experimental group (Chaihu Wubei Decoction treatment, a total of 45 cases). The ulcer area between the two groups was compared, and the gastrointestinal hormones and inflammatory factors between the two groups were observed. Results The gastric ulcer area, gastrin and cholecystokinin-33 in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). In terms of C-reactive protein and tumor necrosis factor-α levels, the experimental group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Chaihu Wubei decoction has a good effect on patients with gastric ulcer (liver qi attacking the stomach type), which helps to reduce the ulcer area, regulate the expression level of gastrin, and reduce the inflammatory response. It can be further promoted and applied clinically.
