In foreign language teaching, the second classroom has an influence on students language knowledge and skills, learning attitude, etc., and provides a basis for teaching optimization. This paper takes the international cultural exchange activities between Nanchang University and Yamanashi Gakuin University into the second classroom in summer semester as the research object, and explores a new mode of the second classroom for Japanese majors in colleges and universities. International cultural exchange includes a series of activities such as group collaborative learning, cultural experience, field research and achievement reporting. Because the activity time is short, this study does not use quantitative analysis, but uses the literal description of activity logs and questionnaires to examine the positive changes of students cross-cultural communication ability, teamwork and communication ability, learning attitude and interest improvement. Practice shows that the integration of international cultural communication activities into the second classroom activities plays a positive role in promoting students cultural cognition, communication skills, cultural tolerance, teamwork, learning interest, etc., and provides strong support for the optimization design and implementation of international cultural communication activities into the second classroom of Japanese.
