| Abstract |
This article analyzes the symptoms and hazards of functional constipation in children; routine care for functional constipation in children, such as dietary adjustment, regular bowel movements, exercise, psychological support, etc., and the shortcomings of routine care; the importance of pediatric massage in the care of children with functional constipation, including improving defecation function, relieving pain and discomfort, improving quality of life, promoting growth and development, and enhancing immunity. The research progress of pediatric massage in the care of children with functional constipation was discussed, including reducing the gastrointestinal recovery time of children, increasing the number of bowel movements within 10 days, reducing the degree of defecation difficulty, reducing the incidence of adverse reactions, improving stool characteristics scores, improving defecation difficulty, defecation time, defecation frequency, mental fatigue, limb weakness and other defecation index scores, and enhancing the overall treatment effect. It aims to provide a reference for the relevant research on the application of pediatric massage in the care of children with functional constipation, as follows.
