Objective To explore the application effect of nursing program in improving the correct rate of self-injection in insulin treatment of diabetes patients. Methods 40 diabetic patients receiving insulin therapy in our hospital from October 2022 to October 2023 were selected and divided into 20 patients each according to random number method. The control group took routine nursing and health education, and the study group took nursing project. The correct rate of insulin injection, the effect of blood glucose control and the incidence of hypoglycemia were analyzed. Results The correct rate of self-injection insulin in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The blood glucose control effect of the study group was better than that of the control group, and the incidence of hypoglycemia was lower than that of the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusion Taking special nursing measures in the clinical nursing of patients with diabetes treated with insulin is helpful to standardize the self-insulin injection behavior of patients, improve the correct injection rate, and then effectively guarantee the blood glucose control effect and reduce the occurrence of hypoglycemia.
