Objective To explore the application value of clinical nursing pathway in nursing care of patients with herpes zoster. Methods From January 2023 to December 2023, 100 patients with herpes zoster were selected as research objects during this period, and the groups were randomly divided into control group (n=50, routine care) and study group (n=50, clinical care path). The nursing effects of the two groups were comprehensively evaluated from three aspects: pain, quality of life and recovery before and after nursing. Results After nursing, there were statistically significant differences in NRS score and SF-36 score between the study group and the control group (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, the NRS score of the study group was lower and the SF-36 score was higher. There was a statistically significant difference in recovery between the study group and the control group (P < 0.05). The time of vesiculation, complete scab formation and removal of scab in the study group were shorter than those in the control group. Conclusion The clinical nursing pathway can achieve good results in patients with herpes zoster, which is helpful for reducing the pain of patients, and promoting the recovery of patients, and has positive significance in improving the quality of life of patients.
