Objective To explore the clinical effect of weight management in overweight pregnant women during pregnancy. Methods A total of 92 pregnant women who were overweight during pregnancy (BMI ≥ 24) who received prenatal care and delivery in our hospital from April 2019 to March 2021 were selected as the observation objects of this study, they were randomly divided into two groups: the reference group (n=46) and the management group (n=46).Pregnant women in the reference group only underwent routine prenatal examinations, and the research group gave pregnant women weight management measures to intervene on the basis of the reference group. The incidence of comorbidities during pregnancy, neonatal conditions and weight gain rate of the two groups of pregnant women after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After comparison between groups, the incidence of pregnancy complications and the rate of weight gain of pregnant women in the management group were lower than those in the reference group, and the incidence of neonatal adverse events in the management group was also lower than that in the reference group, the difference between the two groups was (P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of weight management intervention on overweight pregnant women during pregnancy is better, can effectively help pregnant women control the rate of weight gain, reduce the risk of complications during pregnancy, contribute to reducing the risk of neonatal adverse events, worthy of clinical application and promotion.
