Objective To study the implementation path of extended care service and its application value in the care of patients discharged from the hospital after hip arthroplasty. Methods Under the random number table grouping method and process, 80 patients treated with artificial hip arthroplasty in our hospital were divided into 40 cases in the YN group and 40 cases in the YX group, and in the postoperative discharge care, patients in the YN group were implemented with routine care, and patients in the YX group were jointly implemented with continuation care on the basis of YN. The incidence of postoperative complications (infection, prosthesis loosening, thrombosis, and joint dislocation) was compared between the two groups, the patients hip function was evaluated (Hip Harris Score Method), and nursing satisfaction was investigated. Results The incidence of postoperative complications in the YX group was 5%, which was lower than that of 15% in the YN group (P < 0.05). The rate of excellent postoperative hip function in the YX group was 82.50%, which was higher than that of 70% in the YN group (P < 0.05). The satisfaction of nursing care for patients in the YX group was 95%, which was higher than that of 75% in the YN group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Continuous nursing care for patients discharged from hospital after hip arthroplasty can effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, improve the effect of functional rehabilitation of the hip joint, and increase the satisfaction of patient care.
