Objective To study and analyze the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine wax therapy combined with acupoint application in the treatment of wind cold cough. Methods A total of 70 hospitalized patients with wind cold cough in our department from January 2023 to March 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into two groups: the control group and the experimental group, with 35 patients in each group. The treatment between the two groups was treated with conventional Western medicine, conventional Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine wax therapy combined with acupoint application, and the therapeutic effect was analyzed. Results Analysis of the therapeutic effect of wind cold cough treatment showed that the experimental group had a significant therapeutic effect (P<0.05) compared to the control group. The disease score of wind cold cough patients was slightly lower in the experimental group after treatment, indicating a more significant improvement in symptoms compared to the control group (P<0.05). Analysis of the level of inflammatory factors showed a decrease in both groups after treatment, but the group with the most significant decrease was the experimental group (P<0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of wind cold cough, the implementation of traditional Chinese medicine wax therapy combined with acupoint application can significantly promote the improvement of patients disease response and the decrease of inflammatory factor levels.
