Objective To observe and analyze the clinical effect and application value of vibration sputum discharge instrument combined with acupoint massage in patients with severe pneumonia. Methods A retrospective study was used to select 60 patients with severe pneumonia in our hospital (sample included: 60 cases; Sample inclusion time: May 2022 to May 2023) was divided into control and experimental groups based on random ball touching, and the number of observed cases was highly consistent. Vibration sputum discharge instrument, vibration sputum discharge instrument combined with acupoint massage were respectively implemented. The nursing effect was collected and analyzed. Results Compared with the control group (vibration expectoration apparatus), the expectoration volume of the experimental group (vibration expectoration apparatus combined with acupoint massage) was higher than that of the control group at days 2-4, and lower at days 5-7 (P<0.05). The quality of life score after nursing was higher, the partial pressure of arterial blood oxygen was higher, and the partial pressure of arterial blood carbon dioxide was lower (P<0.05). Conclusion Vibration expectoration instrument combined with acupoint massage can effectively increase sputum output, improve blood gas index, promote recovery and improve life quality of patients with severe pneumonia, and have high application value.
