Objective To explore and analyze the effect of phased health education in nursing of upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods A total of 60 patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding who were hospitalized between September 2023 and February 2024 were studied in the Department of Gastroenterology. The specific implementation of this study will be a controlled experiment, and 60 patients will be randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 30 patients in each group. Routine nursing and phased health education will be implemented during the nursing period, respectively, and the disease awareness score, compliance rate and self-care score of the two groups will be compared. Results According to the evaluation, the disease awareness score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The total compliance rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group (P < 0.05). The self-care scores of patients were evaluated from the aspects of "self-concept", "self-responsibility", "self-care skills" and "health knowledge level". The results showed that the above scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The implementation of phased health education for patients with upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage can strengthen health cognition, improve compliance and enhance self-care ability.
