Objective To analyze the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine nursing scheme for asthmatic disease in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods Twenty elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to December 2023 were randomly divided into control group (10 cases, taking conventional nursing methods) and observation group (10 cases, taking traditional Chinese medicine nursing program for asthmatics on the basis of routine nursing). Clinical nursing effect of the two groups was analyzed. For example, patients nursing satisfaction and patients pulmonary function index score were compared and evaluated. Results Both groups achieved a certain effect after nursing, but the nursing satisfaction and pulmonary function index scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group. The differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion In the elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, the implementation of traditional Chinese medicine nursing program for asthmatics has achieved obvious results, can significantly improve patients nursing satisfaction, improve patients lung function, and has a high value in practical application.
