Objective: To analyze the role of "Internet plus" chronic disease management in the drug treatment of type 2 diabetes patients.Methods:100 patients with type 2 diabetes who were admitted to our chronic disease management clinic from January 2023 to December 2023 were randomly divided into the control group (50 patients, using conventional chronic disease management methods) and the observation group (50 patients, using the "Internet plus" chronic disease management method on the basis of the control group). The clinical treatment effects of the two groups of patients, such as patients self behavior management ability score, quality of life score, treatment compliance and blood sugar control, were compared and evaluated. Results: The blood glucose level indicators of the observation group patients were lower than those of the control group patients, while the self-behavior management ability score, quality of life score, and treatment compliance score of the observation group patients were higher than those of the control group patients, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: "Internet plus" chronic disease management has achieved significant results in the drug treatment of type 2 diabetes patients, which can significantly stabilize the blood sugar control of patients, improve self behavior management ability and treatment compliance, and improve the quality of life, with high application value.
