In recent years, peoples eating habits have changed, the incidence rate of oral diseases has also increased significantly, and the incidence rate of periodontitis shows an increasing trend, which is easy to induce a variety of complications, affecting peoples physical and mental health. Clinical treatment mainly aims to clean and straighten the root of teeth, inhibit the development and recurrence of periodontitis, and reduce periodontal tissue damage, but attention should be paid to treatment methods. The treatment of periodontitis mainly involves surgery combined with medication to effectively clean plaque, stones, food residues, and other substances, inhibit collagenase activity, improve inflammatory reactions in periodontal tissue, gradually achieve anti-inflammatory effects, and promote periodontal tissue regeneration. Minocycline, a commonly used clinical medication, has the effect of inhibiting collagenase activity and promoting periodontal tissue regeneration, and has important effects in the treatment of periodontitis. To further analyze the specific effects of minocycline in the treatment of periodontitis, this study reviews the research progress on the use of minocycline in the treatment of periodontitis, providing clinical reference for relevant personnel.
