Objective To analyze the benefit of nursing improvement in reducing urinary problems in male patients undergoing bronchial artery embolization. Methods Thirty hospitalized male patients with hemoptysis who underwent bronchial artery embolization from January 2021 to December 2021 were selected as the control group, and urine was received with indwelling catheter and storage bag. Thirty hospitalized male patients with hemoptysis undergoing bronchial artery embolization from June 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the observation group, and the occurrence of urination problems in the two groups was observed with self-made urine collector. Results The incidence of discomfort and urine leakage in observation group was lower than that in control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of nursing improvement activities can effectively reduce urinary problems in male patients undergoing bronchial artery embolization, improve patient comfort, promote patients to maintain good mood, reduce urine leakage, do not affect the progress of surgery, improve medical experience, promote disease recovery, and help improve nurses ability to solve problems and collective cohesion.
