Objective To explore the effect of quality control circle in reducing the incidence of accidental removal of indwelling nasogastric tubes in hospitalized patients. Methods A retrospective controlled study was conducted, with 84 hospitalized patients who did not undergo quality control ring indwelling nasogastric tubes admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to October 2023 as the study subjects, and set as the control group. In addition, 84 hospitalized patients who underwent nasogastric tube placement with open display tube coils in our hospital from November 2023 to August 2024 were selected as the study subjects and set as the observation group. Compare the incidence of accidental extubation and nursing quality scores between two groups. Results The incidence of accidental extubation in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the inter group comparison was significant (P < 0.05); The nursing quality score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the inter group comparison was significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The quality control circle has a significant effect in reducing the incidence of accidental removal of indwelling nasogastric tubes in hospitalized patients, and can prevent the occurrence of unexpected events in patients. And it can effectively stimulate the subjective initiative of clinical nursing staff, improve their overall quality, and thus promote the improvement of nursing quality.
