Objective To observe and analyze the clinical effect and application value of holistic nursing for patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for cervical cancer. Methods A retrospective study was conducted to select 60 patients with cervical cancer undergoing laparoscopic surgery in our hospital (sample included: 60 cases; Sample inclusion time: January 2022 to October 2023) was divided into control and experimental groups based on random ball touching, and the number of observed cases was highly consistent. Implement routine nursing and holistic nursing respectively. The nursing effect was collected and analyzed. Results Compared with the control group (usual care), the experimental group (holistic care) had shorter postoperative recovery time (mean postoperative exhaust time/first postoperative feeding time/postoperative movement time), shorter hospital stay, and higher quality of life scores (role function/emotional function/cognitive function/social function/physical function). The negative emotion score (anxiety/depression) was lower (P<0.05). Conclusion Holistic nursing can effectively promote recovery, shorten hospital stay, ease economic burden, improve quality of life and relieve negative emotions in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for cervical cancer, and has high application value.
