Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Jiuwei Huangqi capsule in the treatment of nephrotic syndrome. Methods A total of 60 patients with nephrotic syndrome admitted from May 2023 to May 2024 were selected as the study objects, and the patients were randomly divided into two groups with 30 cases in each group by comparison method. The control group was given conventional treatment, including low-salt and high-quality low-protein diet, drugs to reduce urinary protein, hormone therapy, etc. The treatment group was treated with Jiuwei Huangqi capsule on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, renal function indexes and the occurrence of adverse reactions were observed in two groups. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was 83.33%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (60.00%, P<0.05). After treatment, serum albumin level, urinary protein quantity, serum creatinine, urea nitrogen and other renal function indexes in treatment group were significantly better than those in control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Jiuwei Huangqi capsule combined with conventional treatment of nephrotic syndrome has a good clinical effect, can significantly improve the renal function index of patients, worthy of clinical promotion and use.
