Objective To explore the clinical characteristics and effects of oral prosthesis in the elderly. Methods From April 2022 to April 2023, 56 cases of oral prosthesis in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results There were two main types of repair in this part of patients, namely mobile repair and fixed repair. 46 patients underwent mobile repair, 10 patients underwent fixed repair, and the treatment satisfaction was 100%. Follow-up investigation of the oral health of the patients in this group showed that the mastery rate of oral health knowledge in the recovery process was 94.65% (53/56), and the overall treatment effect was good. Conclusion In the process of oral prosthesis treatment for the elderly, it is necessary to comprehensively evaluate the specific characteristics of the patients and formulate targeted prosthesis treatment plans, so as to solve the oral problems of the patients as soon as possible and improve the oral health level of the patients.
