Objective To explore the clinical effect of Reaumaibao assisted percutaneous foraminoscopy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods The medical information of 70 patients with lumbar disc herniation hospitalized in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department of Xinyi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2021 to January 2023 were collected. Among them, 35 patients receiving foraminoscopy were in the foraminoscopy group, and 35 patients receiving percutaneous foraminoscopy with the assistance of traditional Chinese medicine Reomai bag were in the mirror patch group. Visual analogue pain score and 0swestry disability Index were used to compare the two groups of patients before treatment and 7 days, 1 month and 3 months after treatment. Results The pain visual simulation score and 0swestry disability index of the lens group and the lens group were similar before treatment, but the difference was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). The pain visual simulation score and 0swestry disability index of the lens group were significantly lower than those of the lens group at 3 days, 7 days, 1 month and 3 months after treatment. The difference was statistically significant (p < 0.05). Conclusion The treatment of lumbar disc herniation with Chinese herbal medicine Reaumaibao assisted percutaneous foraminoscopy is effective and worthy of clinical practice.
