Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of praprofen eye drops in cataract patients after surgery. Methods All 90 patients who underwent cataract surgery in our hospital from July 2022 to July 2023 were randomly divided into two groups, with an average of 45 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were treated with flumiron eye drops and the observation group with praprofen eye drops. The postoperative symptoms of corneal edema, conjunctival congestion and retinal structural recovery were evaluated comprehensively. Results The score of corneal edema and conjunctival congestion 1 month after surgery showed a decreasing trend 1 day after surgery (P < 0.05). The above scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). At 1 month after surgery, macular central retinal thickness (MFRT) showed a decreasing trend, and macular foveal retinal thickness (CMT) showed an increasing trend compared with each group at 1 day after surgery (P < 0.05). MFRT and CMT in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Praprofen eye drops can effectively reduce corneal edema and conjunctival congestion and improve retinal structure in cataract patients.
