Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a complex systemic autoimmune disease with joint inflammation as the main clinical manifestations. This disease is accompanied by joint pain, swelling, stiffness and dysfunction, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. Although modern medicine has made some progress in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, acupuncture and moxibustion, as a traditional medical means, has been proved to have a significant effect on rheumatoid arthritis in long-term medical practice. Compared with drug treatment and surgical treatment, acupuncture and moxibustion therapy does not require the use of drugs, avoiding the side effects of drugs on the patients body, and acupuncture and moxibustion therapy has the advantages of simple operation, non-trauma, quick recovery, etc., which is more suitable for the long-term rehabilitation of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. However, although acupuncture therapy has achieved certain results in the rehabilitation of rheumatoid arthritis, there are still some deficiencies, such as the accuracy of acupuncture point selection, the control of stimulation intensity and frequency, individual differences and other factors may affect the play of acupuncture efficacy. Therefore, this paper aims to further explore the best application of acupuncture therapy in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, and improve the reliability and stability of acupuncture efficacy.
