[Abstract] Objective: to analyze the effect of psychological nursing on anxiety and depression in patients with prostate cancer. Methods: the subjects of this study were 72 patients with prostate cancer hospitalized in our hospital from August 2018 to August 2021. They were divided into groups according to the random number table method (n = 36 in each group). The control group received routine nursing and the observation group received psychological nursing on the basis of the control group. The HAMA score, HAMD score, EORTC QLQ-PR25 score and patient satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results: The HAMA score and HAMD score of the observation group after nursing were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The scores of EORTC QLQ-PR25 treatment-related symptoms, intestinal symptoms and urinary tract symptoms of the observation group after nursing were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The EORTC QLQ-PR25 sexual function score of the observation group after nursing was higher than that of the control group (P> 0.05). The patient satisfaction of the observation group (94.44%) was higher than that of the control group (66.67%), P0.05. Conclusion: Psychological nursing can effectively reduce the negative emotion of patients with prostate cancer and improve the quality of life and satisfaction.
