[Abstract] Objective To investigate the current situation and influencing factors of depression in patients with vestibular vertigo. Methods A total of 130 patients with vestibular vertigo in our hospital from March 2019 to March 2022 were selected as study subjects. Depressed mood screening using self-rating depression scale (SDS) after admission. They were divided into depression group and non-depression group according the screening results. The general data of the two groups of patients were investigated. The influencing factors of depression in patients with vestibular vertigo were investigated by univariate chi-square test and multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Results Forty-two cases of depression were screened out of 130 patients with vestibular vertigo, and there were statistically significant differences between the depression group and the non-depression group in terms of age, disease course, disease type, vertigo disorder scale (DHI), educational background, place of residence, and medical payment method (P>0.05). There was no significant difference in gender and spouse between the two groups (P>0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that disease duration>4 weeks, DHI score>60, age>70 years, primary school education and below, vestibular migraine were the influencing factors of vestibular vertigo. Conclusion Depression is common in patients with vestibular vertigo, which is affected by the course of disease, the severity of vertigo, and the type of disease.
