【Abstract】Objective To test the reliability and validity of Ottawa Self-Injury Inventory-Functions (OSI-F). Methods A total of 228 adolescent patients who were definitely diagnosed with affective disorder in the Department of Psychiatry of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University were included in the study. They were instructed to complete the OSI-F, and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were evaluated by Cronbachsα coefficient, Pearson correlation analysis, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. Results Exploratory factor analysis showed that the KMO value was 0.811, and four dimensions were extracted in total by OSI-F; the contribution rate of cumulative variance of each dimension was 60.793%, the coefficient of Cronbachsα of the total entry was 0.845, the coefficient of Cronbachsα of each dimension was (0.693–0.91), and the combination reliability (CR) was (0.73–0.92). The correlation coefficient between the total scores of each dimension and the total score of the scale was 0.597–0.721. The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the ratio of chi-square test of final goodness of fit to degrees of freedom (χ2/df)=1.832, the root mean square of approximation error (RMSEA)=0.061, the goodness of fit index (GFI)=0.879, the comparative fit index (CFI)=0.935 value-added fit index (IFI)=0.978, and the non-conforming fit index (TLI)=0.934. Conclusion The Ottawa Self-Injury Inventory-Functions has good validity and reliability in adolescent patients with emotional disorders, and can be used as an effective tool for evaluating self-injury function in adolescent patients with emotional disorders.
