Sleep is an extremely important physiological function to maintain human life and is closely related to human health. Surveys show that about 1/3 of the worlds population suffer from sleep disorders of varying degrees, which seriously affects peoples health and quality of life. Finding new, safe and effective treatments has become a new trend in the treatment of sleep disorders. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a painless, non-invasive, and non-invasive novel neuroelectrophysiological technique that can be used to assess neurological integrity and treat sleep disorders and mental disorders. Based on the method of evidence-based medicine, this paper analyzes and summarizes the research results and related mechanisms of rTMS applied to sleep disorders at home and abroad, in order to provide a basis for the scientific application of rTMS in sleep disorders in the future.
