[Abstract] Objective To explore the effect of different doses of olanzapine on electrocardiogram and myocardial enzymes in patients with schizophrenia. Methods Eighty-six schizophrenic patients from February 2021 to August 2022 were selected as the study subjects. According to the dosage of olanzapine, 48 cases and 38 cases were divided into low-dose group (≤ 10mg/d) and high-dose group (>10mg/d). The occurrence of abnormal ECG such as sinus tachycardia and ST segment changes during treatment and the levels of serum creatine kinase (CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB) were compared before and after treatment. Results The incidence of abnormal ECG such as sinus tachycardia, ST segment changes, sinus arrhythmia and T wave changes in the high-dose group was significantly higher than that in the low-dose group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of sinus bradycardia and prolongation of Q-T interval between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum CK, LDH and CK-MB in the two groups were significantly increased, and after treatment, the high dose group was significantly higher than the low dose group (P<0.05). Conclusion The treatment of schizophrenia with olanzapine can cause certain cardiac side effects, but the abnormality of ECG and the elevation of myocardial enzyme level caused by high-dose olanzapine are more significant.
